Brenda Sholar - Administrative Assistant

My name is Brenda Sholar, and I am the Administrative Assistant at Lancaster First Assembly.

I was born and raised in the beautiful hills of West Virginia.  I am the youngest of four girls.  My Father owned his own sawmill and I like to believe I was his right hand girl.   Although I was not raised in a Christian Home and knew very little about God, I remember walking down to the creek every day after school, skimming stones across the water, and talking to Jesus.  I cannot explain how I even knew as a child there was a God, I just did.   I was first saved at the age of 17, and met my husband to be shortly thereafter.  We moved to Pennsylvania after marrying and spent six years there before moving back to West Virginia.  Although we are now divorced, we have two children; one son, Steve, and one daughter, Ashley.  We have two beautiful grandchildren, Mackenzie and Delilah.

In 1983, the Lord brought me to Kentucky where I have lived ever since.  I attended Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky while working full-time, as well as raising my two children.   I started attending LFA shortly after the birth of my first grand-child, in 2007 and have been attending ever since.

My goal is to be kingdom minded and serve the Lord in whatever capacity he asks of me.
